It is very easy to discount what is right in plain sight if what you see makes you uncomfortable. If you don’t see it, it can’t hurt you, after all. This is the anti-objective approach to life that people agree upon and practice in order to function in this world. Being anti-objective leads to getting a job and keeping one, making friends and keeping them, and achieving and maintaining a nice socially accepted reputation.
Examples of anti-objective behavior would be ignoring anything that doesn’t make logical sense coming from politicians, teachers, preachers, scientists, doctors, or famous government bureaucrats. There’s a lot at stake going into that. Most people might feel the world will end if they do not believe these people. They believe in a hierarchy of authority. They believe in systems. They do not believe everyone should think for themselves for the big things in life. And guess what? Neither should you.
The great push to liberate mankind from slavery has been to educate them to become free-thinkers and freedom-lovers. This has had little effect. The common man is just that: common. He does not think for himself for his and his family’s sake; for practicality’s sake. We have had a true lack of objectivity in application here. We have ignored the elephant in the room, and that is that common man is not like us. Think about that. Think long and hard about that . . .
This may not be what you want to hear. I’m just being objective. Too much of our effort to free the world has involved trying to turn the people to our side. I tell you, it cannot be done. It goes against nature. You could say it violates natural law, even. Long and hard study goes into understanding the fundamentals things. Do you really expect your friends; your mother who bakes the pies for the family and watches Law and Order; the nice old guy down the street who sells the trinkets . . . Do you really expect these common people to stop living and enjoying life to become free-thinkers like us? I would not wish that upon anyone, anyway. The system works for them.
So get this straight:
THEY ARE NOT LIKE US!!!
THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE LIKE US!!!
Got it? . . . Good!
If you want to free the world, you will have to face this truth. Achieving a free world cannot be accomplished by ignoring billions of elephants. The people are on vacation. The system works for them, okay? Your mission in life is to watch over them and to protect them, but not make them like you. Help them, don’t change them. A free world cannot be achieved unless we are absolutely objective.
So, I’ll repeat it once more: the people are not like us.
You should be able to see that.
This is your lesson in objectivity for the day.
Valid points. And probably true for most people. But I feel like I have been able to wake up quite a few people over the years. We can’t make people think our way but we can at least expose them to alternate views that they might have never thought of or realized even though it might be right in front of them. And it seems like now more than ever, most people are willing to at least listen.
